課程概述	本課程探討樹木健康與保護相關的整合性課題，包括闡述樹木健康和生態系管理概念，氣象因子、昆蟲和微生物及其交互作用，對樹木健康的影響及管理方法。另對都市林、行道樹、森林公園等樹木之栽植、養護、移植、修剪、健康診斷、醫療等知識與技術進行探討。
課程目標	本課程的目標是要使學生具備樹木健康管理與保護的概念與知識，透過各種樹木檢測方法與技術，了解生物和非生物因子的為害方式。並認識重要林木病蟲害的種類、生物學及防治方法。引進國外先進之樹木檢測、栽植、移植、修剪等相關儀器、工具、器械及觀念，教育樹木健康管理之實務作法。
課程要求	修習的學生需準時上課，主動參與討論，並依期限繳交作業及完成期中期末考試。
